On the passing of Marco Antonio Firebaugh

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Upon learning of former California State Assembly Member Marco Antonio Firebaugh"s untimely passing this morning, Representative Xavier Becerra (CA-31) issued the following statement:

"Today, California lost a gifted public servant and tireless advocate for expanded educational opportunities for our children. Marco Antonio Firebaugh sadly left us with much dream, desire and determination still in him.

"Carolina and I extend our heartfelt sympathies to his mother, Carmen Ramos Garcia; his children, Tlalli Ariana and Nicolas Andres; his brothers, Carlos and Jesse; and his sisters, Cecilia and Esmeralda. May they find peace and comfort in the knowledge that Marco touched the lives of so many and always endeavored to leave the world a better place for our children. May he rest in peace."
